All our training plans are written around our clients' lives and are 100% bespoke to each athlete - but how much time would an average Climbing Training Plan take each week?
The short
Our Climbing Training Plans run in 12-week blocks. Each week you will be given a list of sessions to complete. Because each plan is different, there is no set amount of time that a plan should take each week. We will tailor our approach to fit your personal circumstances.
The long
All of our training plans start with an assessment and a pre-plan form. Your coach will then use this information to create your plan. They will take into account your strengths and weaknesses, as well as your preferences, such as preferred discipline(s), short and long-term goals, schedule, previous injuries, time to train, access to facilities etc.
The training plan is provided through the Lattice Training app, enabling you to organise your training sessions around your personal commitments. Within the app, you can easily monitor your progress, plan upcoming workouts, and track your development.
It is hard to generalise or quantify exactly what sort of training regime would benefit you the best without knowing more about you. However, usually, we see great results when training 3-4 times per week.
Some training sessions may be brief and can be completed at home (such as stretching while enjoying your favourite show on TV!), while others may require more time and can be undertaken at the climbing gym or outdoors.
We will make every effort to accommodate your available time for training. It is important to be honest about your schedule and the time you can dedicate to training, rather than attempting to fit in excessive sessions that may lead to burnout or frustration.
What if my schedule often changes?
It is beneficial for you to include a detailed outline of your weekly availability in your pre-plan form, including any planned work trips or commitments, so that we can effectively plan your training around these factors. However, we understand that schedules can be unpredictable. The Lattice Training app will allow you to pick and choose when to complete the exercises each week. Additionally, we can offer guidance on the most important exercises to focus on and suggest optional extra sessions that you can integrate into your routine as time permits.
