Why do we have the physical requirements for our plans?

As we deliver all our training remotely we have physical requirements in place to reduce the risk of injury but also ensure you are able to get the most out of the testing and training. This isn't necessarily a reflection of your experience or skill level as a climber, but more ensuring that we don't cause any injury by putting your body under any stress that it isn't ready for.

For example, many of our training plans require a finger strength assessment on a 20mm edge. Our coaches then use these results to write elements of the training plan. Without these initial benchmarking scores, the coaches would struggle to provide you with the correct intensity for the plan.

What are the physical requirements?

All participants in our training plans must be at least 18 years old, currently injury-free, and not pregnant. However, there are some exceptions. For instance, our Fingerboard Plans are suitable for individuals with lower-body injuries, while our Flex Plans can help maintain motivation during recovery from finger injuries. If you have specific circumstances or questions, please feel free to reach out to us for a discussion tailored to your needs.

Climbing Training Plan and Climbing Training Plan+  You must have bouldered V4/6B or sport climbed 6b+/5.10+ in the last 12 months and must be able to hang your body weight on a 20mm rung for 10 seconds or more.
